“Eco Three performed attic insulation work for me in July 2020. I have two separate roof/attic areas on the 4th floor. One had minimal insulation and the other had none. I had two specific additional items that I asked Eco Three to help with. One was a hot spot in the master bedroom. The other was a draft in the mast bathroom. The team was super nice and efficient. They were very kind to explain to me all the things they were doing..because I asked a lot. It was cool to watch their process. The Eco Three team was able to get their insulation pump hose up the side of my building to access the attics. That was a LONG hose!. While they were in the attic, they patched up several leaking spots in the HVAC supply and return lines. On the main return of one of my HVAC units, there was a huge hidden hole where it was pulling in hot attic air. They sealed up all of my recessed light fixtures and created a clever way to seal up my fire sprinkler heads too. After the work was done, I immediately noticed the hot spot in the master bedroom and the draft in the master bathroom were both gone! As I write this review, it is October 2021, a full year after the work was done. In Jan 2021, Alabama Power raised their rates by about 5%. I’ve noticed that my power bill has gone down. It’s hard to place a percentage on the reduction. Weather changes…there was a Covid-19 pandemic that made us work from home. Before their work, I was paying an average of $150/month. Now, I’m paying an average of $120/month (which includes the APCo rate increase). While Eco Three can’t necessarily take credit for the whole improvement, 20% is a pretty good improvement!”

“EcoThree sealed the attic and knee walls surrounding the two upstairs bedrooms, then added additional blown-in insulatoin. The work was completed just prior to a severe cold snap. The upstairs heat pump never required the auxiliary heat strip to maintain the temperatures. During the subsequent week of quite warm temperatures, the upstairs has remained remarkably stable. “I met David Wilkerson a couple of weeks ago. He walked me through what he could do for my wife and me. He gave us a reasonable quote for his company’s services of adding to our level of insulation. “Four years ago I did an entire remodel of my home and addition. At that time another insulation company insulated my new space. However, after just one year insulation was continually falling off walls that separated interior rooms and the attic space. My home heating and cooling system is split into zones and only sends conditioned air into the rooms that call for it. I could tell by looking at my thermostat that all the new rooms were calling for heat or AC at least three times more that other rooms in the house. David Wilkerson and his guys came in and sealed off all those walls eliminating air gaps. The first night after they left the temperatures dipped into the 30’s. I checked the thermostat repeatedly throughout the evening and night time and never saw the rooms calling for heat. In fact the temperature in the rooms was 4-5 degrees warmer than the temperature the thermostat was set at (Heat rising up the stairwell from the downstairs). Heat for the first time is staying in the room. I anticipate being able to recover the cost in less than two years. The guys did a great job. They vacuumed up everything when they were done and did not ask for payment until David inspected the job and was assured I was satisfied. Wish I had called these guys years ago!”

“Our 1957 ranch home had high levels of moisture in the basement air, and it was unable to sustain desired temps on the main level of the house. We asked Eco Three to give us their assessment and ultimately perform their full array of services on our home in the fall of 2015. The results have been purely positive. Previously, we were emptying the basement dehumidifier 2-3x/day. Since the work has been completed, we now only have to empty it once every 2-3 days. “They first came and made a home inspection using a big fan to basically suck all the cold air they could through any leaks in my house and then used a heat sensor to look for cold air leaks. Then they made a plan based on what they found and felt that I needed, and I feel that the price was very reasonable. “I was extremely satisfied. First the evaluation was very good. Next, they were punctual showing up for the work. They re-connected all of the duct work and it turned out that more was disconnected than they thought. They also reinforced the seams and connections with some cement-like paste. They caulked around the openings of the ducts to keep air from going into the wall, or anywhere besides out of the ducts. They sealed around some recessed lights and improved the moisture barrier in my crawl space underneath the house. They installed weather stripping around the door and even adjusted my door so that it closed better. They also sprayed insulation into my attic after sealing around the recessed lights. They did more than what they thought they were going to have to do, but didn’t charge me anymore and were able to do it all in one day, like they had planned. My house feels warmer and more consistent. I’m very satisfied.”
