“My Green Birmingham is excited to launch its sixth annual Green Home Giveaway contest on November 7th, at the Moss Rock Festival! Presented by Alabama Power, the Green Home Giveaway will provide the winning homeowner with an incredible makeover experience that will transform their home environment into a greener, more energy-efficient, and healthier living space.
This year’s Green Home Giveaway offers locals a once in a lifetime chance to win a valuable package of green home upgrades, products, and services from a select group of highly respected sponsors including Alabama Power, ELM Construction, Eco Three, TOTO and more. Products and services will include:
As one of Birmingham’s most anticipated annual home makeover events, and the largest green home makeover of its kind in the Southeast, the Green Home Giveaway contest draws hundreds of submissions from local homeowners eager to become the next big winner.
This year, submissions will be accepted online from November 7th-20th, via entry form on the My Green Birmingham Facebook page. At the close of the entry period a panel made of this year’s Green Home Giveaway sponsors will then select the top three finalists.
From November 30th-December 4th, we turn the voting over to you via social media! This is where things get real, and the final decision for the grand prize winner is determined based on the number of votes each home received. The winner will be announced on December 7th.
The makeover process will begin mid to late January. Upon completion, a profile of the makeover and winning home will be featured in B-Metro Magazine. In addition, an exclusive e-book Green Home Giveaway Resource Guide for homeowners will be available for download on MyGreenBirmingham.com.
The Green Home Giveaway aims to inspire homeowners to transform their own homes into a smarter, more efficient living environment by embracing responsible and innovative brands, products, and technology for the home.
